  • 10.75 ounce condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 30 ounce frozen shredded hash brown potatoes, thawed
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Brown ground beef and onion in a skillet; drain grease.
  3. Stir in soup, milk, salt, and pepper.
  4. Combine beef mixture, potatoes, and 1 1/2 cups cheese in a bowl.
  5. Pour into a greased baking dish.
  6. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top.
  7. Bake for 45-60 minutes, until golden brown.

Notes

For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the ground beef mixture.
