Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 ½ teaspoons cornstarch
  • ½ teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
  • ¾ cup light brown sugar, packed
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg + 1 egg yolk room temperature eggs
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
Add-ins
  • ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup Christmas M&Ms;

Method
 

  1. Whisk dry ingredients: flour, baking soda, cornstarch, and salt.
  2. Mix melted butter, sugars, egg, yolk, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Combine dry and wet, then fold in chocolate chips and M&Ms.
  4. Refrigerate dough for 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Scoop dough onto baking sheets and bake 10-12 minutes.
  6. Cool cookies on wire racks before serving.
