Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook ground beef in a skillet until browned, drain grease, and season with salt and pepper.
- Slice potatoes and arrange a layer in a greased baking dish.
- Spread cooked beef over potatoes. Mix soup and milk, then pour over beef.
- Bake for 1 hour, then add cheese and bake for 15 minutes until melted.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use a combination of cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese.
