Easy Lasagna Casserole

Ingredients
  

Pasta
  • 12 pieces lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 unit onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 24 ounces marinara sauce
  • 15 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • optional Fresh basil for garnish

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook noodles, then set aside.
  2. Cook beef, onion, and garlic until browned; add sauce and seasonings, simmer 5 min.
  3. Layer meat sauce, noodles, ricotta, and mozzarella in a baking dish; repeat layers.
  4. Top with remaining sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan; cover and bake 25 min, then uncover and bake 15 min.
  5. Let cool 10 min, garnish with basil if desired, then serve.

Notes

For a lighter version, use part-skim cheese and lean ground beef.
