Ingredients
  

Pasta
  • 8 ounces pasta (spaghetti or penne)
Ground Beef
  • 1 pound ground beef
Vegetables
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
Canned Tomatoes
  • 1 14.5 ounces diced tomatoes
Tomato Paste
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
Seasonings
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste Salt and pepper

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
Cheese (optional)

Method
 

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet; sauté onion and garlic until softened.
  3. Add ground beef; cook until browned.
  4. Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste, seasoning; simmer 10 minutes.
  5. Combine pasta with beef mixture; serve with Parmesan if desired.

Notes

You can add chopped herbs or a side salad for extra flavor.
