  • 2 lbs Yukon Gold potatoes thinly sliced
  • 2 cups cooked turkey ham diced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1.5 cups sharp cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 3 tbsp butter for greasing
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish with butter.
  2. Layer potatoes, then ham.
  3. Mix cream, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Pour over layers.
  4. Add cheese and repeat layering until ingredients are used.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil for the last 15 minutes.
  6. Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use a blend of cheeses.
