Ingredients
  

Royal Icing
  • 2 egg whites egg whites or meringue powder or 1/4 cup meringue powder
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract optional

Method
 

  1. Combine egg whites or meringue powder with water as per package instructions.
  2. Add powdered sugar gradually and beat until stiff peaks form.
  3. Mix in vanilla extract if desired.
  4. Divide icing, add food coloring, and mix until uniform.
  5. Fill piping bags with icing and pipe shapes onto wax paper or silicone mats.
  6. Let dry for at least 24 hours, then peel and use for decorating.

Notes

Ensure transfers are completely dry before peeling to prevent breakage.
