Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment.
- Cream butter and sugar until light; add egg, vanilla, almond, cinnamon, and salt, mix well.
- Gradually mix in flour to form a soft dough; chill for 30 minutes.
- Roll out dough, cut shapes, and cut out centers of half the cookies.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes; cool, spread jam on solid cookies, top with cut-outs, and dust with powdered sugar.
