Bananas
  • 3 pieces ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • pinch salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix mashed bananas with melted butter, then add baking soda, salt, sugar, egg, and vanilla; stir well.
  3. Fold in flour and walnuts (if using) until just combined.
  4. Pour batter into a greased loaf pan.
  5. Bake for 60-65 minutes; cool before slicing.
