Ingredients
  

Peaches
  • 4 cups fresh or canned peaches, sliced
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix peaches, 1/2 cup sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla. Pour into a greased baking dish.
  3. Combine flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  4. Stir in milk and melted butter until just combined. Pour over peaches.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with ice cream for an extra treat.
