Ingredients
  

Protein
  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Sauces and liquids
  • 1 cup honey
  • 0.5 cup soy sauce
Garlic and spices
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
Vegetables
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (carrots, bell peppers, broccoli)
Thickening agents (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch for thickening
  • 2 tablespoons water for thickening

Method
 

  1. Mix honey, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and pepper.
  2. Place chicken in slow cooker and pour sauce over it.
  3. Add vegetables on top and cook on low 6-8 hours.
  4. Optional: stir cornstarch mixed with water into sauce during last 30 minutes.
  5. Serve over rice or noodles with sauce.

Notes

For a thicker sauce, add cornstarch mixture during cooking.
