- Gather fresh, clean snow. Avoid snow that has been on the ground for a long time or near roads.
- In a bowl, combine milk (or cream), sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until the sugar is mostly dissolved.
- Add the snow to the liquid mixture, one cup at a time, stirring well after each addition. Adjust the amount of snow to achieve your desired consistency.
- Eat immediately. Snow ice cream melts quickly!
Notes
For a richer flavor, use cream instead of milk. Be sure to use clean, fresh snow from a safe source.
