Ingredients
  

Peaches
  • 6 cups fresh peaches, sliced
  • 1 cup sugar, divided
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Batter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix peaches with 1/2 cup sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice; set aside.
  3. Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and remaining sugar; add milk, butter, and vanilla, stir until just combined.
  4. Pour batter into a greased 9x13 inch dish, spoon peaches over top.
  5. Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden and bubbly, then cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with ice cream for extra indulgence.
