Ingredients
  

Dry ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Wet ingredients
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2 medium bananas)
Optional mix-ins
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8x8-inch pan.
  2. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl.
  3. Combine wet ingredients and mashed bananas.
  4. Fold wet into dry, then add optional mix-ins.
  5. Spread batter in pan and bake for 20-25 minutes.

Notes

Allow blondies to cool before cutting for clean slices.
