Method
- Combine apples, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Mix well.
- Mix flour, oats, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add melted butter and vanilla; stir until crumbly.
- Layer apple mixture in CrockPot, then sprinkle crumble topping over.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 2-3 hours until apples are tender.
- Serve warm, optionally with ice cream or whipped cream.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a pinch of ground ginger or nutmeg to the apple mixture.
