  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon ground ginger
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix dry ingredients; cream butter and sugar, then add molasses, egg, vanilla.
  3. Combine wet and dry; fold in white chocolate chips.
  4. Drop spoonfuls onto baking sheet; bake 10-12 minutes.
  5. Cool cookies on wire rack before serving.
